We all love cleaning hacks, right? As commercial kitchens should be kept extremely clean at all times, each working shift takes its toll on your kitchen and so, here are our favourite tips for keeping it clean.
At the end of each day time needs to be spent ensuring everywhere is pristine ready for another busy day. However busy commercial kitchens can become less than pristine if the correct care isn’t taken during the cleaning process. The everyday chaos of a commercial kitchen can make it difficult to keep on top of the day-to-day cleaning and it can become a health hazard if you’re not careful. Our blog is full of useful commercial cleaning hacks to help you keep your kitchen in the best shape.
Boil water in your pans to remove stains
It is a struggle to remove stubborn stains from the bottom of pans due to constant use. Most dishwashers won’t be enough to shift them, but boiling water will!
Simmering the boiling water for 20 minutes, then give them a quick scrub. The boiling water will loosen the stains and make it easier to remove them. Repeat this each week to keep your pans clean and stain free.
Use hydrogen oxide to remove stains from chef whites
Mix a small amount of hydrogen oxide with soap and water, rub into stained chef whites then wash as normal to remove stubborn stains. This will keep them bright white and pristine.
Put a towel over your mixer to avoid flour dust
Something as simple as draping a tea towel over your mixer will avoid flour dust being spread around your kitchen. Flour gets everywhere and creates a sticky film once it comes in contact with water or grease. Creating a lot of extra cleaning, which this little hack can prevent.
Use salt to soak up spills
Did you know salt soaks up spills?
Before wiping away spills, sprinkle some salt over the area and leave it a minute or so to do t’s job. It will soak up oil and grease making it easier to clean up, saving you time.
Heat up your silverware before you polish it
Stained silverware can be unsightly. Water marks are a common problem with silverware, but this is easily remedied. Simply heat up your silverware before you polish it, this will remove any water marks and bring your silverware up like new again.
